ROOTS OF REGGAE

Reggae music originated from the heart within Jamaica in the late 1960’s. Its foundation lie deeply in the sounds from traditional Caribbean genres including ska and rocksteady. Those earlier forms supplied reggae its infectious pulsation, while blending elements of American R&B and Mento. Reggae became more than just a musical form; it became a
